A long journy home

Posted by: Messenger of Christ | July 30, 2010 | 1 Comment |

About 3 years ago we were sitting quite contently in our house by the railroad tracks down in central Texas. It wasn’t a perfect house but it was ours and we had make quite a few improvements over the years that we lived there, and has still more plans on how to make our house a home. But God had something else in mind for us, He was leading us to let go of our beautiful house and go to the place he would show us.

Well after about four months of looking and praying we found some land…not a house but some land. And after a bit more prayer it was clear that God wanted us to have it. We made an offer and very shortly we were that brand new owners of a ten acre plot of land with nothing on it,not even a water well. But God gave it to us so we were praying for what he would have us do with it. Our first thoughts was ” Well, let’s build a house on it.”   And so we went to work. In the meantime we met a couple that raised and sold Longhorns.  So again after praying we got ourselves two cows and stuck them on our new property. They were quick to test the new fencing that we had put up, for the old one was so bad it wouldn’t have keep anything in, but the new one did it’s job well.

But now we had a small problem. As I said before this property had not source of water on it and it was an hour and a half away form our current home. We needed something closer.   So we looked for a place that we could rent for just one year that would fit our needs.  We found a place only fifteen minutes away from our property. It was cheap, and we got what we paid for. The place was a converted old gas station with the pump holes still in the garage.  It was very small. But for only a year and then our house would be done…right?

It was on the day that my dad was going to make the closing deal to build the house but something didn’t seem right, God was whispering. We couldn’t understand why God was saying not to build the house, we had the land, we had the money, we needed a home, why! It took only one week for us to get our answer, my dad got a 20% pay cut because his employer was saving money. By the grace of God we were saved from a huge financial debt that would be nearly impossible to pay off.

And so we stayed in our rental place for another year. And now we were not looking to build a house, but to buy one some where else. So for every moment we had an ounce of spare time we spent it on house searching, house after house after house, and still not one. Every time we found one that fit our needs it was either:

-Over priced: Oh look a one bedroom one bath shack for only 1,000,000,.

-Badly needed fixing: I’m sorry but I don’t feel like buying a house that needs tons of work and  is infested with spiders size of your hands.

- H.O.A. : “Home owners association.” Which made you practically sign away all your constitutional rights just to buy a house. Things like “H.O.A. administrators have the right to come into your house at any time if they think that you might be violating H.O.A. restriction, and that if anything is broken or goes messing after there visit they are not held responsible.)

-God says no: It’s nice when God is clear on whether or not this the the house he wants you to buy. Take for example a acceptable house , priced well, no H.O.A., didn’t need to much work, foreclosed on (meaning cheap.) and had all the space we needed. Sound perfect, well it’s still not the one. We had hastily made an offer on the house and then started to pray (We know now that’s not the way you do it. Pray FIRST then make an offer.) The bank made a counter offer and we were about to accept it. But that day may Mom was at the butcher getting some meat when she heard someone talking about flooding around the area that our house was in. We wanted to check to see how close the water got to the house …it was flooded. Water was more than two feet up the walls, the plants in front and back were smashed agents the ground. This was surprising sense it was not in a flood zone, and had been there sense 1985.

After we had gone through that,  we kept looking until found one that seemed to fit all the requirements, we prayed and it seemed that it was God’s will for us to get the house.  We put in an offer and immediately started havening trouble, the county could not process any paperwork  on the land because it had not been “platted” meaning that the county still saw the land as part of the land next to it. The process for platting would take 3-6 months. This was indeed bad news because our lease on the rental house we were in was expiring in 1 month! We prayed and God gave us a solution, we rented the house we wanted to buy while we waited for the plat to go through.

And now after much prayer and patience the house is ours!

We have made the long journey home.  Thank you Lord!

The meaning and significance of the transcendence of God

Posted by: Messenger of Christ | June 20, 2010 | No Comment |

#000000">There was a time in Zimbabwe when the inflation rate of their currency resulted in prices doubling every 24 hours.

#000000">There were people that would literately bring wheelbarrows full of money to the store just so that they could buy their daily food. During this time there was one man named Jon who decided to do some shopping.

Inflation

#000000"> He like everyone else at the time had his wheelbarrow full of money with him. He left his wheelbarrow for just a seconded, and when he returned all his money was sitting in a big pile on the ground and his wheelbarrow was gone! Someone had stolen his wheelbarrow #000000">and left the money because the wheelbarrow was worth more than the money inside.

#000000">How do we determent real value?

#000000">Explain the meaning and significance of the transcendence of God#000000">

#000000">Meaning:

#000000">Transcendent: Extending usual limits or lying beyond the limits of ordinary restraints

#000000">Jesus demonstrates this when he calms the storm in

#000000">(Mark 4:41)#000000"> “And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

And we also have

#000000">(Genesis 1:1)
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

Earth as seen by Voyager1 at a distance of 4 billion miles away.

#000000">God was there at the beginning of time and space itself he is the one that made time and is therefore outside of time.  Because he is outside of time, He is transcendent through time.

#000000">significance:
I. Transcendence in time:

#000000">Stuart McAllister #000000">says

#000000">“Whether we are aware of it or not, the search for transcendence compels the direction of most of our lives… this search for transcendence is not necessarily embarked upon as a search for God, but rather an escape from our world.”

#000000"> Each and every one of us wants something or someone to to put our trust in that will not fail us. Many people have ideas about what it is that we can trust forever, but only one will ever really fill our need and want for a transcendent trust.

#000000">(Revelation 1:8)#000000">
I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

#000000">(John 3:16-17)

#000000">For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

#000000">A transcendent God that loves us so much as to send his Son to die for us, to fill what no other thing on earth could fill. Our need for a transcendent Savior.

#000000">But why would God want to die to save us? For as#000000">(Romans 3:23)#000000"> says

(Romans 3:23)
#000000">“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”

#000000">Why would a God die to save those that hate him? He must see something worth saving, but what?

#000000">II. What is Worth:

#000000">The only reason that little green pieces of paper have value is because we base its worth on something other than itself.

#000000">Brian Domitrovic (PHD historian and author of the book “Econoclasts”) says that in the past the U.S. was on the old gold standard. Why? Because we needed something that was stable on which to base or currency in order for it to have a value. We put a value on everything based on something else.

#000000">Why are we disturbed when 10,000 people die in a tsunami? Because people have value. But why do we have value?

#000000">Ravi Zacharias leader of the International Apologetic ministry answers this question when he says.

#000000">“The only way that human life has value is if there is a transcendent being of infinite worth who has given you that intrinsic worth not given to you by state or law or by any other power here on Earth.”

#000000">The words in the #000000">Declaration of Independence#000000"> reflex this when it says that “A#000000">ll men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,#000000">” These are not rights given by the government they are rights given when man was made.

#000000">Human life has an intrinsic value because a transcendent God gave us that value.

#000000">Because God is transcendent he has the power to save those that chose him. And because of God’s transcendence, my life and your life has a value. And because of that we will be taken away from this earth, and all the things we once believed had value will be left in a pile on the ground.

A brake for black

Posted by: Messenger of Christ | June 6, 2010 | 16 Comments |

#000000">The problem I always find with a book I haven’t read yet, is that I don’t want to buy a book unless I like it, but I don’t know if I’ll like it unless I buy it and read it.  So my personal book collection is rather small. A book or author must come highly recommended by multiple people before I’ll even bother looking at it, and after that I almost always research the book thoroughly and read as much of it as I can on-line before I will consider buying it. Well like any other book I did this with “Black”, a book written by Ted Dekker.

#000000">But I must admit that after all my research regarding the book I was still hesitant to buy it. The reviews#000000"> on the book were as varied as you could get. From one star to five stars, and all for their own reasons.  And if it had not be so highly recommended my many of my friends then I dare say I would not have bother with it at all. I did end up getting the book as a early birthday present about 2 weeks ago. And the rest of this post  will be my review of the book. (Don’t worry I won’t give way much of the book.)

#000000">The story starts out with a man named Thomas Hunter who is being shot at because he stole money from a bunch of gangsters. During the chase Thomas Hunter is shot in the head while trying to make his escape but the bullet only renders him unconscious. He falls off the roof of a building that he was on at the time and into a garbage bin. During the period of unconsciousness he dreams/goes to a futuristic Earth that, according to the book, comes about from the death and destruction of billions of men, women, and children by a deadly virus. This is the first of his dreams  witch occurs throughout the book. In this futuristic world the distinction between good and evil is much more apparent than in the real world, defined  by two forests one black and dark the other colored and bright.

#000000">This is where I have  a point of disapproval for this part of the book, mainly that the bright forest is depicted as a perfect place where all the women are “perfectly” gorgeous and where all the marriages#000000"> are perfect. In sort I found that a great portion of the chapters concerning the futuristic world were spent on romantic love. As soon as Thomas Hunter enters the bright forest a “perfectly” gorgeous woman falls in love with him and wants to marry him. However, in the futuristic world Thomas Hunter has lost his memory and so must be taught#000000"> by the local residence about how to “win” the womans heart for marriage. And so they proceed to teach Thomas Hunter#000000"> how to woo her by falsely saving her from nonexistent enemies and so on, in essence being deceitful and unreal. I found this annoying and unnecessary. I do not think that young men ought to be reading, and in turn, thinking about winning a girls heart. As Christians our hearts and minds are first and foremost for Christ and anything that distracts from that in the slightest is not from God. His objective and means are dishonest and unbiblical.

#000000">#000000">#000000">#000000">

Ted Dekker

#000000">The second point of disapproval that I have with this book is the lack of Christianity depicted in the book. The author, Ted Dekker, is suppose to right Christian books. And maybe he does, but this isn’t one of them.  You would have to already know Christ if your going to find anything that would weekly depict the Christian message. There was even one reference when Thomas Hunter  uses Christianity as an example of a religion that might be correct when he discuses the fact that there are other spiritual worlds that they can’t see. But in this remark he also clarifies that by saying that the Christians might be right there he is not agreeing with the rest of the Christian religion. Lets just say that anyone that is not a Christian will not know any more about Christianity by reading this book.

#000000">Because of all this I only got to about the seventh chapter or so of the book before I chucked it into the trash. I’m pretty sure I’m done with Ted Dekker.

Explain the meaning and significance of the omnipresence of God

Posted by: Messenger of Christ | May 10, 2010 | No Comment |

#000000">We were finally at our destination. The place, the communist country of Belarus, only one more customs line to go through and we were done. But It was this last round of customs that would decided whether or not we stayed in the country or sent back home on the next flight. You see the country of Belarus dose not like Christianity, so a bus load of Americans coming to give the gospel is not looked on with much kindness.

#000000">But know matter how much hatred, regulation or security there is, nothing can stop God from being where he intends to be.

#000000">Explain the meaning and significance of the omnipresence of God

#000000">Meaning:
“Omni,” The Latin root meaning “All, every, any; every kind of, the whole of the universe.” “Presence”: the part of space within one’s immediate vicinity. “Omnipresence, Present in all at once”

#000000">significance:

#000000">You cant hide from God and no one can hide YOU from Him:
(Romans 8: 38-39)

#000000">“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

#000000">A great example of such a fact is in the well known story of Jonah and the wale.

#000000">(Jonah 1:1-4)

#000000">“The word of the LORD came to Jonah son of Amittai: Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.

#000000">But Jonah ran away from the LORD and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the LORD.
Then the LORD sent a great wind on the sea, and such a violent storm arose that the ship threatened to break up.”

#000000">All the men on the ship were afraid an prying to there gods and asked Jonah to do the same. But when they found out that it was because Jonah was running from God that they were cursed with a storm, they threw Jonah overboard and into the sea. The storm subsided and God sent a wale to swallow Jonah while he was in the watter. And the wale took him to Nineveh to tell the people God message. (This is the abbreviated story for the full context read the book of Jonah

#000000">That’s a God that you cant run from, you cant hide form, you can not be hidden from, because He is everywhere. This means that He knows what your doing whenever your doing it,regardless of if anyone else is around. Some people might not like to think of the fact that God knows what were doing. It can seem rather nerve-racking to think that everything you do is seen. But think of it this way, if ever you were to desperately need help, help that no one in the world seems like they could offer you. Whether you be in prison,a hospital on a deathbed, or your world seems like it’s just going all wrong. Please know that God is there regardless of your situation, you can always call on him.  So take hart in that your never alone.

#000000">

#000000">But There is one place that God has purposely decided not to be.

#000000">Where God is not:

#000000">The one place where God is not is greatly feared by men, That place is Hell.

#000000">Hell according to the New International Bible dictionary is a place where there is “ absence of righteousness” and “separation from God.”

#000000">But wait a second didn’t we just finish saying that God was everywhere?

#000000">Your right, God has the ability to be in all places at once, but he chooses not to be in hell. He made hell for those that did not want to be with him.

#000000">The result of the absence of God is described in (matt 13:42),(2 Thessalonians 1:9),(Revelation 21:8)as a lake of burning surfer. where there is endless weeping and gnashing of teeth where nothing good resides because of the absences of God.

#000000">And this place would be the fate of all men had it not been for Jesus Christ.

#000000">He was sent to save us from our sins and redeem and sanctify us before the lord. But we must choose and except him into our lives, or choose not to except him and go to the place he ordained for those who did not want him, to a place that does not have Him.

#000000">We did finally get through that last set of customs in Belarus. In Fact we were the Only People out of the entire plain who got through the customs line with going through a rigors baggage check. And we were the only People that had the luggage that was loaded to the brim with Bibles. And because of that we got to give the gospel message to hundreds of school children. We could see God was there, in an entirely deferent country with an entirely deferent language, God was there. And I an positive that if God was not omnipotent our trip would have failed right at the beginning.

#000000">Thank you for reading this post. I hope I have helped you understand the meaning and significance of God’s omnipresence.

#000000">If you have any questions pleas feel free to ask.
Your friend,
Messenger of Christ.

Explain the meaning and significance of the omniscience of God

Posted by: Messenger of Christ | April 26, 2010 | 2 Comments |

#000000">An Indian man and his son were working together to weave a blanket. The father sat up top and the son sat below. And all around the father there were threads of all kinds, red, blue, gold, and greens. The father would unwind some thread and nod to his son to start working. The son would do a series movements on the weave and then stop and wait for his father to nod again. After a few days of doing this the pattern started to emerge. After a few more days there was created a beautiful carpet covered with intricate patterns. But you know anyone can learn the motions that the son did, but I can’t learn to do what the father did. He unwound the different colors in a specific way so that he would get the beautiful design. The design was in his head from the beginning.

#000000">Story by Ravi Zacharias leader of international apologetic ministries.

#000000">Meaning:

#000000">omniscience: omni Latin for the work “all” and science meaning knowledge. The new international Bible dictionary defines omniscience as the attribute by which God perfectly and eternally knows all things that can be known past, present, and future.

#000000">

#000000">significance:

#000000">

#000000">

#000000">Our salvation

#000000">It is important that God is all knowing because it is necessary for the security of our salvation. Just imagine if you died believing you were saved through Christ, but when you get to the throne and God says, “ Oh sorry! I know you believe in Christ and all that but I’m afraid that that’s no good, you see, when my son died for you I didn’t know about salvation clause 4 section z paragraph 2”

#000000">When it comes to your salvation you want a God that knows everything.

#000000">

#000000">Trust

#000000">

#000000">Because God is all knowing we know that we can trust him. Gorge MacDonald, a favorite authorof C. S. Lewis, that lived in the 1820 once said, “Few delights can equal the presence of one whom we completely trust.”

#000000"> (Psalm 147:5)

#000000"> ”Great is the Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.”

#000000">God knows what we need.

#000000">(Matthew 6:25-30)starts of with the words “Do Not Worry”

#000000"> “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?” nether do we need to worry.

#000000"> Obedience

#000000"> Remember the story of the father and the son that I told earlier? I told you that I could learn all movements that the son was doing on the loom, but that I may never learn to do what that father was doing. You think it would be simple to unwind thread so that the son could use it. But the father was doing much more than unwinding the thread, he was making the design in the carpet. He knew what the pattern was going to look like from the beginning. Our father knows all things and his plan has no flaws.  He is omniscient. All we have to do is obey his commands and watch for the nods of His head. And just as the son did not know that pattern of the carpet until it began to emerge. We do not know what God has planned until we see it start to unfold.

#000000">So the next time you don’t know what’s going on or why something happened, Just remember God does.

Explain the meaning and significance of the omnipotence of God.

Posted by: Messenger of Christ | April 21, 2010 | No Comment |

#000000">Explain the meaning and significance of the omnipotence of God.

#000000">Meaning:
The book systematic theology defines omnipotence as fist omni Latin word meaning “all” and potent meaning powerful altogether meaning all powerful omnipotent.

#000000">Significance:
When we use the word “all” we don’t normally think of just what that word really implies. We normally use the word all to explain part of a whole. For example. “I have all the food.”  You don’t really have all the food in the world. But just the entire portion of food that you own. But when we say that God is all powerful we mean “all of all”  not just part.

#000000">(Job 42:2)

#000000">I know that you can do all things;
no plan of yours can be thwarted.

#000000">(Luke 1:37)

#000000">For nothing is impossible with God.

#000000">(Jeremiah 32:27)

#000000"> I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?

#000000">I have often times read these passages without really looking at what they truly meant, so lets have a look.

#000000">We can see God’s power carried out in the story of Israel’s  captivity.

#000000">(2 Kings 20:17)
The time will surely come when everything in your palace, and all that your fathers have stored up until this day, will be carried off to Babylon. Nothing will be left, says the LORD.

#000000">this prophecy was fulfilled in  2 Kings 25 God allows Babylon to attack Israel as punishment for Israel’s disobedience . But then we see God punishing Babylon for attacking Israel
(Isaiah 47:6-11)

#000000">The world is God’s to do as he pleases

#000000">But with this in mind now we have a problem. (Exodus 20:1-17) The ten commandments. The commandments themselves are not the problem but rather the fact that we cannot keep them.

#000000">(Romans 3:23)

#000000">”for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”

#000000">(Romans 3:20)

#000000">Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.

#000000">I have violated the law of the omnipotent God and now stand condemned to death both physically and spiritually

#000000">(Romans 6:23)

#000000">For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

#000000">Romans 6:23 has both condemnation by sin and salvation by Christ. But why would God want to save the ones that broke His laws, forsakes His truth, and hated Him?

#000000">(John 3:16-17)

#000000">“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

#000000">God loves us. Stop and think about that for a moment. The ruler of the stars and the heavens loves us, a sinful debouched people who hate him. God sent his Son to save these who hated Him to give them life because he loved us. And that is a very encouraging fact.

#000000">

Cross of Christ found in the center of the whirlpool galaxy

#000000">Power and love are not something that we think go to gather much. If you look at Genghis Khan he was very powerful and known for his ruthlessness and lack of love. To have a God that can annihilate you as soon as look at you, die to save you, is an astounding thing. Would you or I die to save someone who hates you and resembles everything you detest.#000000">

#000000">We have a choice to make. We can continue to deny God as or Lord and Savior or we can accept the forgiveness that He has offered us through his love. And love him back as Lord and Savior.

#000000">If you have any questions on this topic please fell free to ask.

The grace of Easter!

Posted by: Messenger of Christ | April 3, 2010 | No Comment |

It’s sad that we’ve take Easter and made it into a jolly holiday devoid of all religious meaning for most people. It’s sad that we’ve turned it into a bunch of bunny rabbits and colorful eggs, and use it as and excuse to eat more candy. So today I would like remind everyone about the grace and Glory of Easter.

This is a sermon given by a paster in an under ground church in a communist country.

Easter:
It’s Friday, Jesus is arrested in the garden where he was praying. But Sunday’s coming. It’s Friday, Jesus is standing before the high priest of Israel, silent as a lamb before the slaughter. But Sunday’s coming. It’s Friday, Jesus is beaten, mocked, and spit upon. But Sunday’s coming.  It’s Friday, those Roman soldiers are flogging the Lord with a leather scourge that has bits of bones and glass and metal tearing at His flesh. But Sunday’s coming. It’s Friday. See those Roman soldiers driving the nails into the feet and hands of my Lord. Hear my Jesus cry, “Father, forgive them.” It’s Friday;but Sunday’s coming.

It’s Friday. Jesus hanging on the cross bloody and dying. But Sunday’s coming. It’s Friday. The sky grows dark, the earth begins to tremble, and He who know no sin became sin for us. He cries, ” My god My God why hast thou forsaken me?” And with that he gave up his Spirit. It’s Friday, Jesus is hanging on the cross, heaven is weeping and hell is partying. But that’s because it’s Friday, and they don’t know it, but Sunday’s coming!

Now it’s Sunday. And just about dawn on that first day of the week, there was a great earthquake. But that wasn’t the only thing that was shaking because now it’s Sunday. And the angel of the Lord is coming down out of heaven and rolling the stone away from the door of the tomb.  Yes, it’s Sunday, and the angel of the Lord is sitting on that stone and the guards posted at the tomb to keep the body from disappearing were shaking in their boots because it’s Sunday.  The Lamb that was silent before the slaughter is now the Resurrected Lion from the tribe of Judah.  For He is not here, the angel says, “He is risen, indeed!”

It’s Sunday, and the crucified and resurrected Christ has defeated death, hell, sin and the grave. It’s Sunday and now everything has changed. It’s the age of grace.

Easter is the wonderful day that our Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead conquering death so the He could give us life, completing the payment for our sin. Both justice and grace are completed at the cross.

So while your having fun finding eggs and eating candy, try to remember what truly makes Easter something worth celebrating!

God bless you all,
A messenger of Christ.

#ff0000">#000000">I would first like to clarify that I am by no means trying to say that there is no Trinity. Quite the opposite. I was giving arguments in order to affirm the existence of the Trinity. I am sorry if I have confused you. I would be most thankful if you would tell me how I miscommunicated to you that point.

Secondly, the verse I used from John, to which I believe you are referring in your comment, goes on to say.

(John 1:1-14)

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2#0000ff">He#0000ff"> was with God in the beginning.

3Through #99cc00">#0000ff">him all things were made; without #0000ff">him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood[#fen-NIV-26040a">a] it.

6There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. 7He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. 8He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.[#fen-NIV-26044b">b]

10He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13children born not of natural descent,[#fen-NIV-26048c">c] nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

14#0000ff">The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen #0000ff">his glory, the glory of the One and Only,[#fen-NIV-26049d">d] who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

The word was Jesus “The Word became flesh” There is no mistaking that this is referring to Jesus.

#ff0000">#000000">Now to answer your question on whether or not  Jesus had a pre-human existence as in the context of the Old Testament .

#ff0000">#000000"> (Isaiah 9:1,6-7)
To Us a Child Is Born

1 Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. #0000ff">In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, #0000ff">b#0000ff">ut in the future he will honor Galilee of the Gentiles, by the way of the sea, along the Jordan-

6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. #0000ff">And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

7 Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty
will accomplish this.

#ff0000">#000000"> This verse, from the old testament, says that He is the “6.Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” but also says “1. in the future he will honor Galilee of the Gentiles, by the way of the sea, along the Jordan-” and he is born “6. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. Jesus was born and walked in Galilee honouring the gentiles by telling them about himself. But this verse also says the He is the Mighty God. So Jesus is God as an entity of the Trinity.

We also have the verses from Genesis which I have posted before.

(Genesis 1: 26-27)

26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

27 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.

Here God is clearly showing that there is someone who is equal to the Father in which we were created in the image of. But then it goes on and says God created man in His own Image. Again this refers to the Trinity.

If you look at the word God used In

(Exodus 3:14)

God said to Moses,I am who I am . This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you. “

And then look at:

(John 8:56-58)

56Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad.”57“You are not yet fifty years old,” the Jews said to him, “and you have seen Abraham!”58“I tell you the truth,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!”

Jesus is God and we know that God was there before the Earth was created and if Jesus is God then he must have had a pre-human existence!

I have also recognized that you use the Hebrew word (Yehsua) as a secondary name to Jesus. Aaccording to the Hebrew English dictionary the word Yehsua or (Yahshua) means Savior. So I assume that you do believe that Jesus was our Savior. But what must be understood is that only someone perfect could have died to saved us from our sins. And only Jesus, who was God, was perfect. So only He could save us.

I hope That I have adequately answered your question. If you have any more please feel free to ask. Hopeful It will not take me as long to respond next time.

ResLight said. “#ff0000">In reality, the principle of the trinity is not found anywhere at all in the Bible. That idea has to imagined in the spirit of human imagination, formulated into assumptions and then those assumptions have to be added to, and read into, each and every scripture so as to make the scripture appear to support the added-on assumptions. The Hebraic tradition of using the words for God to ascribe might or power to a person or thing does not mean that any of those persons or things are a person of God. Jesus was indeed a mighty being with his God before he became flesh. (John 1:1,2; 17:1,3,5) There is nothing, however, in what John wrote that says anything about the Word (Jesus) being a person of  the his God.”#000000"> #ff0000"> #ff0000">#ff0000">

#000000">First of all the doctrine of Trinity does not explain how it is that God is able to be present in this remarkable way – it simply affirms that God is present and available in this manner.

#000000">The following passages provide the raw data used by the post-apostolic church to formulate its doctrine of the Trinity in the centuries to come.
#000000">The key texts fall into three groups:
(1) those that stress continuity with Jewish monotheism in affirming that there is only one God
(Mk 12:29; Rom 3:29-30; 1 Cor 8:4; 1 Tim 2:5; Jas 2:19)(2) those that represent the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as three distinct individuals or persons
(Mt 11:27; 26:39; 28:19; Mk 1:9-12; Lk 11:13; Jn 14:16-17, 26)

#000000">(3) those that variously refer to God in the person of
the Father (Mt 6:9; cf. Is 63:16),
the Son (Jn 1:1-3, 18; 20:28; Rom 9:5; Col 1:15-20; Tit 2:13; Heb 1:1-4, 8-12; 1 Jn 5:20),
or the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3-4).
#000000">
#000000">From these texts it is clear that the New Testament church, without yet formulating with precision the doctrine of the Trinity, fully endorsed the three key theological strands that would later be woven into a tight doctrinal cord: only one God exists; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three distinct persons; and the title “God” befits each of them.
#000000">
#000000">So yes the principle of the trinity is indeed found in the Bible! There is no other logical way to translate the passages  above, it is not imagined into the Bible but in fact is the very essence of Christianity.
#000000">
#000000">If there is no Trinity then Jesus is not God, and if Jesus is not God then he cannot save us from our sins, and if  Jesus cannot save #000000">us from our sin then the entire Bible message comes to nothing.  We have no hope of ever coming out of our sin and no hope for salvation. But Jesus die to pay for our sin and save us from everlasting hell. The Trinity is the basis of the Christiann religion.
#000000">#000000">
#000000">We also have the fact that Jesus was called Christ which according to Noah Webster’s 1828 dictionary
#000000">
#000000">“CHRIST, n. THE ANOINTED; an appellation given to the Savior of the World, and synonymous with the Hebrew Messiah. It was a custom of antiquity to consecrate persons to the sacerdotal and regal offices by anointing them with oil.”
#000000">
#000000">So the fact that Jesus was called the Christ means that He is the savior of the World! Saving us by paying the debt for our sin on the cross.
#000000">And lets not forget that Jesus accepted praise for being God from Thomas in
#000000">
#000000">(John 20: 28)
#000000">28Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
#000000">
#000000">Thomas was saying that Jesus was God and Jesus did not rebuke him as angels and profits do. Because He is God.
#000000">
#000000">I hope that I have adequately shown you that the Bible does indeed prove the principal of the Trinity.

(Colossians 1)

15He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. 17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

This passage above would make no sense unless in the context that there is a Trinity. What God has given us here is the definition and description of who He is. The Trinity.

Lets look at this from the perspective that there is not a Trinity. #008000">15He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.” #000000">Right a way we have a problem because in order to explain this passage we have to conclude that there is more that one God ? However we know that there is not more that one God because of #339966">(1 kings 8: 60)”#339966">So that all the people of the earth may know the Lord is God and there is no other. We also have another problem this part of the passage says#339966"> “the firstborn over all creation” #000000">But God was not born! Again something that does not make sense. Next we have this part.#008000"> ” #008000">7He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.” Firstborn from among the dead? God did not die! But this passages says he did? And that he did in #008000">“so that in everything he might have the supremacy.”#000000"> ? So this makes it sound as if God has to die in order that he might have supremacy? How can this be? Only if it is referring to the death of Christ as a payment for our sin. #008000"> #008000">“For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, The fullness dwell in him? this seems like a meaningless statement, we already know that God is God. unless this passage referring to Jesus. #008000">20and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.”#000000"> Who who who, Blood, shed on the cross! that sounds a lot like Jesus?!?! But if we are taking the idea that there is no trinity then Jesus is not God. And this passage seems to make no sense what so ever??

This is why I believe that there is indeed a trinity.

But lets not forget we also have the verses I gave in answer to DA in which I found.

#000080">“(Matthew 3:16-17)  As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. 17And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

#000080">Here we see all 3 of the Trinity at the same time:  the Father, the Son, and the Holly Ghost.  But let’s not forget that there is only one God.  The Bible never uses the word “Trinity” But it is a teaching the goes throughout it.  We see this in the passage above and we also see it in

#000080">(John 1:1-2) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.

#000080"> When it says word it means Jesus, because the “Word” is one of  the names for Jesus and when it says He was with God in the Beginning this also is referring to Jesus. But this is not the end.  It also says in

#000080">(Genesis 1: 26-27) 26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth,  and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

#000080">Here we see the use of the word “us” and “He” again giving credence to the doctrine of the trinity.”

#000000">So while the word “Trinity” is not in the bible the principle is definitely there.
I hope this helps to clarify.  And if you have any further questions please fell free to ask!

Thanks,
